Woman Slumps and Dies While Giving Testimony in Church
A 55-year-old woman named Ifeoma tragically slumped and died while giving a testimony during a church service in Lagos. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at a hospital.
A 55-year-old woman identified as Ifeoma tragically passed away while sharing her testimony during a church service in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State on Sunday. The incident was confirmed on Wednesday by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to Hundeyin, Ifeoma, who was filled with joy, had come forward during the service to give her testimony, singing praises when she suddenly collapsed. Efforts to save her life were swift as she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. She was later referred to another medical facility in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead.
“When officers arrived at the hospital, they were informed that the family, including her husband, had already taken her remains to her hometown in Anambra State for burial,” Hundeyin added.
The name of the church where the heartbreaking incident occurred was not disclosed in the report, and details surrounding the cause of her sudden death remain unclear. The community and church members are left in shock, mourning the untimely loss of a woman whose final moments were spent in worship.
