Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has set a new streaming record with his latest single, "Kese," racking up an astonishing 1.5 million Spotify streams on its debut. This monumental achievement dethrones Davido's previous record with "Awuke." "Kese" comes from Wizkid's highly anticipated album Morayo, and it follows the recent success of his track "Piece of My Heart," a collaboration with American R&B sensation Brent Faiyaz.
Wizkid’s remarkable performance doesn’t stop there. His track “Piece of My Heart” also made waves by crossing one million streams on its release day, demonstrating his unstoppable momentum.
According to the latest report from Chart Data, Wizkid dominates the Nigerian music scene, holding the top two spots for the highest-streamed debut songs. "Kese" claims the number one position, while "Piece of My Heart" follows closely behind. Notably, Asake’s Grammy-nominated hit "MMS" from his album Lungu Boy, featuring Wizkid, secures third place with 870,000 streams, further solidifying Wizkid’s influence on Afrobeats’ global rise.
