Why you should stop checking your partner’s phones – Yhemolee
Yhemolee advises couples to avoid checking their partner’s phones, warning it could lead to emotional distress or trauma. He shares a real-life cautionary tale.
Popular media personality Idowu Adeyemi, widely known as Yhemolee, has issued a cautionary message to couples, advising them to avoid checking their partner's phones in an attempt to catch them cheating.
Yhemolee, who recently tied the knot with his longtime partner Thayour B, shared his thoughts on the potential dangers of this practice, warning that snooping through a partner's phone could have devastating emotional consequences.
In a video posted to his Instagram account, Yhemolee recounted a concerning incident involving a close friend. He explained, “My friend called me this morning to tell me his fiancée is in the hospital, struggling to breathe. I asked if she had any serious health conditions, and he said no—she had gone through his phone overnight."
Highlighting the risks, Yhemolee added, "The reality is, if you keep checking your partner’s phone, you might end up discovering things that cause you more harm than good. If you die from the shock, the person who hurt you will move on.”
He went on to explain that his friend admitted that if his fiancée had thoroughly examined the contents of his phone, she might not have survived the emotional toll. And even if she physically recovered, she would likely be haunted by the traumatic experience for the rest of her life.
Yhemolee's message strikes a nerve with those who struggle with trust in relationships, urging couples to reconsider how they handle suspicions to avoid serious emotional damage.
