‘Why is your govt risking Lagosians lives’ – Mr Macaroni calls out Sanwo-Olu over bad roads

Nigerian content creator and activist Mr Macaroni recently voiced strong criticism toward Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, condemning the deteriorating state of Lagos roads, which he says endanger residents’ lives daily.

In a blunt open letter shared on his X handle, Mr Macaroni questioned why Sanwo-Olu prioritizes ceremonies like welcoming the president from international trips over the safety of Lagosians. The activist highlighted that the pothole-riddled roads are causing frequent accidents and property damage, urging the government to take immediate action.

“Hello Mr. Governor @jidesanwoolu,” he wrote, “perhaps one day, when you’re not occupied with official ceremonies, you could drive through Lagos roads yourself and see why lives are being put at risk. These potholes are dangerous—do better.”
