Afrobeats star Davido recently addressed rumors of a rift between him and fellow artist Wizkid, clarifying there was never any conflict. In a viral BBC radio interview, Davido explained that their hangout before his Timeless album launch in 2023 was to dispel any tension and keep the release drama-free.
Davido shared how he reached out to one of his core fans, Tomiwa, urging him to avoid conflicts with Wizkid’s fanbase, known as FC. “I told him, ‘Please don’t fight Wizkid’s fans, we’re not at odds.’” Despite his efforts, his album leaked two days before its official release, though Davido praised his fanbase for their unwavering support.
