Verydarkman makes U-turn, apologizes to Femi Falana
VeryDarkMan retracts defamation claims against Femi Falana, apologizing after legal threats. The activist clarifies his reaction to Bobrisky's alleged dealings with the EFCC.
Controversial human rights activist VeryDarkMan recently made a surprising U-turn by publicly apologizing to renowned lawyer Femi Falana, retracting earlier defamatory claims. The drama began after VeryDarkMan leaked an audio of Bobrisky allegedly discussing his dealings with the EFCC regarding money laundering charges. In the recording, Bobrisky mentioned Falana, prompting VeryDarkMan to call for an investigation.
However, after Falana's representatives issued a formal statement warning of potential legal action for defamation, VeryDarkMan took to Instagram to clarify his stance. He denied defaming Falana, insisting that he had only reacted to Bobrisky’s allegations. In his apology, VeryDarkMan expressed respect for Falana and distanced himself from any claims of wrongdoing on the lawyer’s part.
He clarified, "I never defamed and will never defame Femi Falana. I simply reacted to the call Bobrisky made, which included allegations against him. I don't believe Falana would be involved in anything improper, and if he were, I would be deeply disappointed."
This development has added another layer to the ongoing social media frenzy involving Bobrisky, EFCC, and various public figures, underscoring the complexities of public allegations and the need for caution in handling sensitive matters.
