VDM’s video, details his experience after spending over four hours at the EFCC office. He had just returned from Lagos, where he was involved in receiving traffic victims returning from Ivory Coast, showcasing his commitment to humanitarian causes. However, upon reaching the EFCC, he was confronted with what he describes as “very crazy” allegations.

The core of the controversy revolves around a woman’s claim that VDM unveiled a project identical to hers, accusing him of intellectual property theft. This accusation, according to VDM, led to significant irritation and anger, prompting him to question the validity and motive behind such claims. “I’ve never been so irritated and angry like before until today,” he stated in the video, emphasizing the emotional toll of the allegations.

In his defense, VDM highlighted his extensive work in helping individuals recover money lost to scams and his efforts to combat online fraud. He argued that the idea in question is a public service aimed at protecting people from financial exploitation, not a proprietary concept. “How can someone claim ownership of an idea that is meant to help people?” he questioned, invoking his platform’s role in advocating for justice and transparency.

VDM also expressed frustration over the timing and nature of the allegations, suggesting a pattern of targeting his activities. He mentioned his plans to expand his operations, including setting up an office to manage the increasing volume of requests, underscoring his commitment despite the challenges.
