Unidentified lifeless body retrieved from well in Kano
Kano State Fire Service retrieves unidentified man's body from a well, sparking investigation into the tragic discovery in Kumbotso Local Government Area.
The Kano State Fire Service responded to a tragic call on Saturday, recovering the body of an unidentified man from a well in Kano. According to spokesperson Saminu Abdullahi, the department's central control room received an emergency alert at 4:15 p.m. from the Kwalli Police Division, reporting the grim sighting at an unfinished building in Kadama Bakin Titi, Kumbotso Local Government Area.
Arriving at 4:40 p.m., the police team noted dried blood stains near the well, adding to the mystery surrounding the discovery. The lifeless body, appearing to belong to a man around 25 years old, showed signs of decomposition, suggesting it had been there for several days. Residents, unfamiliar with the individual, estimated the body had been in the well for at least four days.
After carefully retrieving the body, the rescue team handed it over to ASP Sani Abdulhamid, DCO2 of Kumbotso Police Division, as investigations continue into the man’s identity and circumstances surrounding his death.
