Renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi is riding high on the success of her latest blockbuster, *Alakada: Bad and Boujee*, which has amassed an incredible ₦134 million in just seven days at the box office.
Taking to Instagram on December 27, Toyin shared her heartfelt gratitude to God, her loyal fans, and supporters who have stood by her journey.
Reflecting on her growth, she proudly celebrated surpassing her previous record. “God of my journey, thank you. Last year, I made ₦52M in seven days; this year, ₦134M—over a 157.69% increase! I am my own competition,” she wrote, calling herself the woman who always returns to give thanks.
Toyin also expressed deep appreciation to her fans, writing, “To everyone who has watched Alakada: Bad and Boujee, thank you for making me a happy woman. Ẹṣé gan ó. Mo dúpé.”
Addressing the challenges in Nollywood, she acknowledged supportive cinemas while subtly calling out those she believes tried to stifle her success. “To the cinemas working for the growth of our industry, thank you. And to those who didn’t want us to succeed, God has proven He is greater than man,” she added.
