Toyin Abraham reveals how she dealt with fan caught recording ‘Alakada’
Toyin Abraham pleads with fans to stop pirating her new movie Alakada: Bhad and Boujee, after a fan was caught recording during a cinema screening.
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has issued a heartfelt plea to Nigerians, urging them to stop pirating her latest movie, *Alakada: Bhad and Boujee*. In a recent post on her X page, Abraham revealed that a fan was caught recording the film during a cinema screening.
According to the actress, the individual deleted the footage after being confronted, and she decided to let the person go without further action. "We caught someone at the cinema recording Alakada: Bhad and Boujee. She deleted it, and I told them to let her go,” she shared.
However, Abraham, clearly frustrated, warned that she would not be as lenient if anyone is caught pirating the movie in the future. "Please stop recording; if they catch anyone, I won’t interfere again. I am so tired," she pleaded.
Fans quickly rallied in support, urging others to respect intellectual property and encouraging moviegoers to watch films legally in cinemas. Alakada: Bhad and Boujee is the latest release in Abraham's popular Alakada series and has grossed ₦134M in its first week.
