Nigerian artist Terry Apala praises Wizkid for transforming his career by featuring on the remix of ‘Apala Disco,’ calling it a game-changer that saved him millions in promotion costs.
Nigerian fast-rising artist Terry Ejeh, popularly known as Terry Apala, has expressed gratitude to Afrobeats superstar Wizkid for his impact on his professional success.
In an interview with Pulse, Apala revealed how Wizkid elevated his career by contributing a verse to the remix of his track Apala Disco. According to him, Wizkid’s involvement was a game-changer, significantly reducing the costs he would have incurred for promotion.
“It wasn’t my doing. Wizkid just decided to help me, seeing that I’ve been struggling in the music industry for long. He changed my entire career with just one verse,” Apala stated.
He added, “It’s more like a shortcut. You’re planning to spend millions to promote your song, and Wizkid jumps on it. It automatically reduces the promotion budget. That’s how God works.”
The remix, which also featured Seyi Vibez and DJ Tunez, became a major milestone in Terry Apala’s music career, cementing his place in the industry.
