TD Jakes Experiences Health Scare During Sermon, Receives Medical Attention

Bishop T.D. Jakes, founder of The Potter’s House megachurch in the U.S., experienced a health scare while delivering a sermon on Sunday. Social media videos captured the moment his movements slowed as he concluded his prayer.

With labored breaths, he prayed, “The meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer,” before lowering the microphone. Shortly after, his head began to bob, and his body jerked awkwardly, prompting church officials to rush to his side to prevent him from collapsing.

In a statement shared on Facebook, The Potter’s House confirmed that Jakes received immediate medical attention and is now in stable condition.

“The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers,” the statement read.

The church did not disclose whether the bishop was hospitalized or provide details on the cause of the incident, leaving congregants and followers praying for his full recovery.
