Simon Ekpa narrates how he sacrificed his career for Biafra
Biafra activist Simon Ekpa reveals he sacrificed his political career in Finland to focus on Biafra’s independence movement. He plans to declare Biafra's independence on December 2, 2024.
Biafra activist Simon Ekpa has revealed that he sacrificed his political career in Finland to fully dedicate himself to the Biafran independence movement. Ekpa, often referred to as the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE), made this announcement on his official X account, underscoring his unwavering commitment to achieving self-rule for Biafra.
In his statement, Ekpa explained that since 2012, he has focused on serving his people and championing Biafra’s liberation, a cause he holds above all else. He confirmed that he will not participate in the upcoming elections in Finland, choosing instead to concentrate entirely on Biafra’s struggle for independence from Nigeria, which he claims has marginalized the region.
His declaration comes as the activist continues to criticize the Nigerian government, despite ongoing efforts to extradite him. Ekpa has also set a significant date—December 2, 2024—on which Biafra’s independence will be declared, further intensifying the movement he leads.
