Seyi Law Commends President Tinubu for Fuel Subsidy Removal

Nigerian actor and comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has commended President Bola Tinubu for the removal of the fuel subsidy. Despite the challenges it has caused, Seyi Law believes the decision will benefit Nigerians in the long run.

He stressed that the subsidy should have been removed much earlier, referencing the 2012 protests led by the then-opposition, when Goodluck Jonathan was president. According to Seyi Law, if the subsidy had been removed then, Nigerians would have already begun to recover from the financial strain.

“Fuel subsidy should have been gone long ago. If it had been removed in 2012, we would have endured the pain and started healing by now,” he explained, recalling his stance against the anti-subsidy protests during that time.
