Sex Trafficking: Diddy ‘removed’ from suicide watch
Disgraced rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs has been removed from suicide watch after his arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Diddy remains in custody, focusing on his defense ahead of his upcoming trial.
Disgraced rapper and music mogul Sean Combs, known as Diddy, has reportedly been removed from suicide watch, following his arrest on charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. Diddy, who was placed on suicide watch in mid-September after being taken into custody by Homeland Security, has since been moved out of that status.
A report by People magazine on September 29 revealed that a law enforcement source confirmed the rapper's removal from suicide watch. Diddy, now focusing on his defense, has received visits from his family while being held in detention, awaiting his trial scheduled for early October. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that the rapper remains strong and is preparing for his legal battle.
The charges against Diddy stem from an investigation that began with a raid on his Beverly Hills mansion earlier this year. Federal agents reportedly seized drugs and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil, items they believe were intended for "freak off" parties—events notorious for illicit activities. Diddy’s lawyer responded to the allegations humorously, stating that the bulk baby oil purchase was merely from Costco, which the store denied.
Despite denying all charges and entering a not-guilty plea on September 17, Diddy’s bail request has been rejected twice, leaving him in custody as the trial approaches. This case has shaken the music industry, casting a dark shadow over the once-celebrated music executive.
