Ruger Shuts Down NYC Show, Heads to DMV as U.S. Tour Gains Momentum

Afrobeats sensation Ruger is showing no signs of slowing down as he continues to thrill fans across the United States. The hitmaker recently wrapped up another successful stop on his U.S. tour. He delivered an electrifying performance in New York City as part of the Ruger NYC Tour. Ruger took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with fans:

“I’m a snitch only coz I always sell out📌
THANK YOU NYC 🇺🇸 I love you with all my heart.
DMV I’m on my fucking way see you soon.”

In a video shared on his page, Ruger gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his NYC performance from backstage moments to his grand stage entrance. The performance was complete with a live band and a roaring crowd on the Ruger NYC Tour. The energy was electric, as fans sang along to his hits and danced throughout the night.

Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has carved a name for himself in the global Afrobeats scene. He is known for his signature eye patch, confident lyrics, and genre-blending sound. Since his breakout with Bounce in 2021, he has dropped hit after hit, including Dior and Girlfriend.”

Earlier this year, Ruger released his highly anticipated debut album, BlownBoy RU. The album showcased his growth as an artist and featured a mix of Afrofusion, dancehall, and reggae influences. The album received critical acclaim and further established him as a standout in the new wave of Nigerian artists. He is going global during his Ruger NYC Tour.

While Ruger has largely kept his image clean, he occasionally sparks buzz with his confident, sometimes controversial social media captions. However, it only adds to his bold brand identity. With his U.S. tour still underway and the DMV area next on his list, the Ruger NYC Tour continues to prove he’s not just a rising star. He’s a global force.
