Reminisce Shares Hard Lessons About Fame and Trust in the Music Industry
Rapper Reminisce reveals how fame taught him to trust no one in the music industry, advising upcoming artists to be cautious of those around them
In a recent interview with Naija FM, rapper Reminisce shared how his early experiences with fame taught him important lessons about the music industry. He explained that fame can cloud judgment, and he quickly realized that he has no real friends in the industry.
"Fame is like a drug that makes you lose focus," he said. "I learned early on that nobody is truly my friend, and that's probably why some people don’t like me. I make my decisions and stand by them because, in the end, I’m the one who will face the consequences."
Reminisce recalled how he became cautious about who he trusted as he gained success. He advised upcoming artists to be aware that not everyone is their friend and to be careful about the people they surround themselves with. "When you're popular, it's normal for people to be around you, but it’s your job to decide who’s really there for you."
