Rema donates N150m to Church

Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, is a Nigerian worldwide music star who has donated N150 million to the Christ Embassy Church in Benin City, Edo State. Rema said he made the donation to the church’s Edo Regional Headquarters, which is situated at Erediauwa Street off Ekenwa Road, as a token of gratitude for the church’s assistance to his family during a trying time in his early years. The world-renowned musician, who was present at a Thanksgiving ceremony, talked about how the church helped his family after his father passed away when he was only eight years old.

“I am here to give God the glory, not to give myself any kind of praise or glory,” he said. Additionally, I thought it was vital to return the favor to the church that has welcomed me, prayed for me, and supported me throughout my life. “We felt terribly forlorn and abandoned when my dad passed away when I was eight years old. First and foremost, I would like to commit N40 million for the church’s infrastructure development, N20 million for the publication of Rhapsody of Realities, and N25 million for the church because I was raised in the teen church.
