Presidency Responds to Atiku Abubakar’s Critique of Tinubu’s Economic Reforms
Nigerian Presidency counters Atiku Abubakar’s economic suggestions, claiming Tinubu’s reforms address Nigeria’s urgent issues and criticizing Atiku’s approach as lacking depth.
In response to Atiku Abubakar’s comments on how he would handle Nigeria’s economic challenges, the Presidency issued a statement rejecting Atiku’s claims and defending President Bola Tinubu’s approach. According to the statement by Presidential Adviser Bayo Onanuga, Atiku’s proposals were rejected by voters in 2023, and gradual reform would fail to address Nigeria’s deep-rooted economic issues.
It also argues that Tinubu’s measures are necessary for long-term stability and targeted social support.
