Paul Okoye Fires Back at Deji Adeyanju Over Burna Boy Allegations in Speed Darlington Arrest

Music executive Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paulo, has blasted human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju for accusing Nigerian singer Burna Boy of being behind the recent arrest of Speed Darlington.

Speed Darlington, whose real name is Darlington Okoye, was detained by officers from the Imo State Police Command in Owerri, Imo State, marking his second arrest in less than two months. The artist, who also goes by the name Akpi, was previously arrested on October 4 and released on bail five days later.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Deji Adeyanju claimed that Burna Boy had played a role in orchestrating Speed Darlington's latest arrest over alleged cyberstalking. He accused Burna Boy of using his influence to oppress Darlington.

In response, Paulo took to Instagram on Wednesday to challenge Adeyanju’s claims, calling him a "social media lawyer" and questioning why Burna Boy’s name was being dragged into the issue. He wrote: "Lawyer Deji, or whatever you call yourself, can you put some respect on Burna Boy’s name? Why are you even mentioning him? You’re just a social media lawyer! Lawyer my a**. Get your facts straight before you speak, and control your client."

Paulo's comments have fueled the ongoing public feud, as tensions between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington continue to escalate.
