Julien Alfred finished first in 21.98 seconds. The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris Nigeria's Favour Ofili qualified for the women's 200-meter final of the Paris Olympics by finishing second in heat 1 with a time that was also a season best.
Ofili came in second in 22.05 seconds, trailing only recently crowned Olympic 100-meter champion Julien Alfred of Saint Lucian in 21.98 seconds. McKenzie Long of the USA placed third in 22.30s.
Ofili's time of 22.05 seconds is faster than her time of 22.24 seconds in the opening round on Sunday.
