Odumodublvck Wins Artist of the Year at Leadership Awards, Dedicates Honor to His Mother

Nigerian rap sensation Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has added another feather to his cap. He won the Artist of the Year award at the prestigious Leadership Newspaper Awards. The event featured several national dignitaries and recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to their fields.

The award was presented by the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service. Additionally, Odumodublvck made a powerful entrance in traditional attire. His latest single, “Pity This Boy featuring Victony, played in the background as he approached the stage. In a heartwarming moment, the rapper humbly greeted the award presenters. He later dedicated the award to his mother, who joined him on stage alongside his team.

In a post on Instagram following the ceremony, Odumodublvck simply wrote: “LEGOLAS”. This was a nod to a track from his much-anticipated album “The Machine is Coming“, suggesting that the best may still be ahead.

The Leadership Newspaper described Odumodublvck as an artist who “turned his story into a journey of passion, resilience, and innovation.” This was done through his powerful lyrics and energetic performances.

Odumodublvck’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Known for his raw, street-inspired style, he broke into the mainstream with tracks like “Declan Rice” and “Picanto“. His blend of grime, rap, and Afro-fusion has made him one of Nigeria’s most exciting and unconventional voices. In 2023, he won Rookie of the Year at the Headies. He has continued to dominate with high-energy performances and hard-hitting bars.

Though often seen as controversial for his unapologetic attitude and gritty music, Odumodublvck has built a loyal following. He has gained critical acclaim for his authenticity and refusal to conform to industry norms.

With this award and his new album doing well on streaming platforms, Odumodublvck proves once again that he’s not just a rapper. He’s a movement.
