Nottingham Forest bids £21 million for Feyenoord star Santiago Gimenez
Nottingham Forest is offering £21 million for Santiago Gimenez, a Feyenoord player.
In their Premier League opener on Saturday, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth drew 1-1. Despite the excellent play of Chris Wood, the Tricky Trees are looking for a new striker as the 32-year-old New Zealand international cannot play for them all season. The De Telegraaf reports that Forest has made a first bid of £21 million for Feyenoord star Santiago Gimenez, but the Dutch team is expected to reject it because they want to pay about £30 million for the player. Gimenez started his career at Cruz Azul in Mexico before joining Feyenoord in 2022.
Ramon Sosa, who recently joined Forest from the Argentine team Talleres, cost approximately £11 million. Considered one of the best talents to come out of South America in recent years is Sosa. He has made an impression with his outstanding club and international exploits, and he can play as a forward or on the flank. Nuno Espirito Santo's team has been particularly busy during this transfer window, having already signed Carlos Miguel, Nikola Milenkovic, Jota Silva, Elliot Anderson, Marko Stamenic, and Eric da Silva Moreira.
