Nigerians now run to VDM for help instead of government – Skales laments
Skales expresses concern over Nigeria's declining trust in the government, highlighting how citizens now turn to activists like VeryDarkMan for justice.
Nigerian singer Skales, whose real name is Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, has raised alarm over the growing distrust in the government and the increasing reliance on fellow citizens for justice.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Skales expressed his dismay over the current state of affairs in Nigeria, where citizens no longer turn to government institutions for justice but instead seek help from individuals like activist VeryDarkMan (VDM). Skales wrote, "It’s crazy what is going on in Nigeria... imagine where the citizens cannot run to the government but to a fellow citizen like VDM for help... smh!! God bless & protect him tho."
His post highlights the rising trend of Nigerians turning to grassroots activists, such as VeryDarkMan, for advocacy and support, sparking a broader conversation about the effectiveness of governmental systems and the growing role of individual activists in the pursuit of justice.
