Nigerian filmmaker Dimeji Ajibola, celebrated for his work on the hit series Shanty Town, has passed away after battling an undisclosed illness, as confirmed by colleague Samuel Olatunji. Ajibola was a visionary in the entertainment industry, blending traditional and digital media. With a strong educational background from the New York Film Academy and Animation Mentor, he pushed boundaries in visual storytelling.
His 2012 urban musical film Hoodrush received multiple awards, including Best Movie at Germany’s Green Me Film Festival.
