Nigerian Bodybuilder Samson Dauda has won the 2024 Mr. Olympia title

Nigerian-British bodybuilder Samson Dauda has won the 2024 Mr. Olympia bodybuilding title, winning the biggest prize ever given in the history of the sport. 

The event happened at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, USA, and it was the big finale for the 2024 Olympia weekend. Dauda started bodybuilding in 2014. On Saturday, he won first place and brought the champion title back to the United Kingdom.

Dauda, a bodybuilder from Nigeria who lives in the UK, won the competition. Hadi Choopan came in second, and last year's champion, Derek Lunsford, came in third. 

Besides winning the title, Dauda was named the People’s Champion and received a huge prize of $600,000, which is the biggest amount ever given in a bodybuilding competition. Since 2022, Dauda has become an important name in bodybuilding after winning the famous Arnold Classic United Kingdom. He had also come third in the 2023 Mr. Olympia.
