The NDLEA has arrested two businessmen and a Canadian-based nurse at Lagos’ MMIA for drug trafficking. Cocaine and synthetic cannabis were seized in separate incidents, with suspects attempting to smuggle drugs into and out of Nigeria.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has detained two businessmen and a Canadian-based nurse for drug trafficking at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The arrests, linked to attempts to smuggle cocaine and parcels of synthetic cannabis, were made between October 4 and 17. One businessman was caught trying to board a flight to Thailand, while another returned from Brazil. Both had ingested cocaine pellets. Meanwhile, the nurse was caught with 70 parcels of synthetic cannabis, claiming her boyfriend asked her to bring them to Nigeria.
