Napoli give reason Osimhen cannot join Galatasaray on permanent deal
Napoli rule out a permanent transfer of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray, citing the club's inability to meet his €75 million buyout clause despite his impressive loan spell.
Napoli have unequivocally shut down any chance of Galatasaray securing Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal, citing the Turkish club’s inability to meet his hefty €75 million buyout clause.
Giovanni Manna, Napoli's sporting director, confirmed the club’s stance, emphasizing that while multiple suitors are willing to meet the asking price, Galatasaray simply lacks the financial capacity. “Our door is closed to negotiations. Galatasaray does not have the budget to pay this amount at this moment,” Manna was quoted as saying by Webaslan.
Osimhen, 25, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan in September, has thrived under manager Okan Buruk, delivering eight goals and four assists in just nine appearances. Despite his impressive form, Galatasaray’s aspirations to retain the Nigerian striker have hit a wall due to the high cost involved.
Napoli, meanwhile, remain focused on transferring Osimhen to a club capable of meeting their financial demands, further solidifying their firm stance on the forward’s future.
