Simi Oluwaseyi, sister to Naomi, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, has shared an update regarding Naomi's arrest, expressing grave concerns about her health.
Naomi was detained following a tragic stampede in Ibadan that claimed 35 lives. In a heartfelt series of Instagram posts, Similoluwa extended her sympathies to the families of the victims while shedding light on her sister's condition during detention.
According to Similoluwa, Naomi collapsed on the third day of interrogation by the Department of State Services (DSS) and had to be rushed to the hospital. She also disclosed that, prior to her arraignment in court, a doctor confirmed that Naomi's blood pressure was dangerously high. Adding to the distress, Naomi reportedly had no access to her phone or family during the ordeal.
“I deeply sympathize with the families of the children who lost their lives. My sister was arrested and detained for over six days, collapsing on the third day of interrogation by the DSS and being rushed to the hospital,” Similoluwa shared.
The revelation has sparked widespread concern online, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the incident and justice for all involved.
