NAFDAC Issues Public Warning Against Unregistered 'Miracle Water and Soap' from Christ Mercy Land Ministries

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a strong public warning regarding the illegal production and sale of unregistered "miracle" water and soap by the Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, based in Delta State. According to NAFDAC, these products falsely claim to have healing properties and are being marketed under the guise of curing various ailments, including barrenness, without any scientific or regulatory backing.

NAFDAC has emphasized that these products are not approved by the agency, contrary to what the ministry has been promoting. The products in question, labeled as "Miracle Water" and "River Jordan Water," have not undergone any NAFDAC registration process, making their sale and distribution illegal under Nigerian regulatory laws. In response to numerous public petitions, the agency has launched an investigation and taken action to seal the factory responsible for their production.

Despite efforts to engage Christ Mercy Land Ministries for cooperation, the organization has refused to comply with NAFDAC’s investigations, further raising concerns about their practices. The agency warns the public to avoid purchasing these unregistered products, as their safety and efficacy are not guaranteed.

NAFDAC has also issued a stern warning to faith-based organizations, urging them to refrain from the illegal production and sale of unregulated health products. The agency remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting public health and taking legal action against non-compliant entities.

Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, NAFDAC's Director-General, reiterated the agency’s dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of Nigerians and reminded the public to stay informed about approved health products through their official channels.
