Nollywood actress Sarah Martins recently opened up about her transformation into a self-proclaimed "gold digger," reflecting on her past experiences of betrayal in relationships. Responding to fashion designer Veekee James’ story of emotional and financial abuse by an ex-lover, Sarah shared her own heartbreaking journey on Instagram.
She revealed how, in a previous relationship, she had given her partner 50% of her salary for six months, only to discover that he was using her hard-earned money to support another woman. To make matters worse, he helped fund the woman’s business, and she went on to marry someone else shortly after.
“I’m a lover girl and I go all in for those I care about, but after being shown ‘shege’ for my kindness, I don’t give a man a dime anymore!" she confessed, proudly embracing her new mindset. "With my full chest, I am now a gold digger!"
Her story serves as a raw reflection on the emotional toll of betrayal, sparking conversations about self-worth and boundaries in relationships.
