Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian music star Mohbad, has opened up about how she met the singer, revealing that their love story began 12 years ago on the once-popular social media app, 2Go.
In a recent interview with TVC, Omowunmi shared that she and Mohbad connected when they were teenagers—she was 13 years old, and he was 15. Their bond started as friendship, fueled by a mutual love for music—she was a rapper, and he was a singer. Over time, their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship, which later led to marriage and the birth of their son, Liam.
Mohbad tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos State, less than 24 hours after his death. Due to controversies surrounding his sudden passing, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy, the results of which are still pending.
His father, Joseph Aloba, has publicly stated that Mohbad’s reburial will only take place after the autopsy results are released and a DNA test is conducted on his grandson, Liam, to confirm his paternity.
As fans and family continue to seek justice for Mohbad, his widow’s revelation offers an intimate glimpse into their early years and the love they shared before his untimely demise.
