Mohbad’s family seeks more witnesses on singer’s death
Family of late singer Mohbad urges anyone with key information about his death to contact the police or their legal team, following recent online accusations and rumors
The family of the late singer Mohbad has called on the public to come forward with any crucial information that could help in the ongoing investigation into his tragic death. In a statement released on Monday, Monisola Esther, a member of the family’s legal team, expressed deep concern over sensitive details being shared online rather than with the proper authorities.
Esther emphasized that any valuable information related to Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba’s (Mohbad's) death should be directed to the police or the family's legal team. “Given the nature of his passing, it’s vital that such information is provided to the authorities who are equipped to protect witnesses and suspects,” she said.
The family’s legal team also noted that the Coroner’s Court has issued witness summonses for those involved in the investigation. They urged anyone with relevant details to come forward, as the focus is solely on uncovering the truth behind the singer’s untimely demise.
Amid this call for information, the family addressed rumors sparked by a viral video in which Karimot, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, accused his widow, Wunmi, of being involved in his death. The legal team stressed that the Coroner’s Court is the appropriate place for any such claims to be presented, ensuring that all information aids in the fact-finding mission, rather than fueling public speculation.
