Meet the Naval Officer who gunned Five Robbers

Mohammed Mubarak is an accomplished Navy member, a seafarer, and a valiant marksman. He has received honors and praise for his actions during the confrontation with armed individuals who raided the Uddy King Filling Station in Calabar a while back. The Nigerian Navy’s Eastern Naval Command in Calabar recently presented him with a Gold Medal for his valiant and heroic actions in defeating the robbers. Mubarak reportedly returned fire to protect himself and onlookers, and despite the unfavorable circumstances, his bravery and shooting skills allowed the five-man gang to be killed and their guns seized.

The Gold Medal Award is given to any troops who stand out for their courage and gallantry, according to the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, who gave it to him. Robberies and other criminal activities would decline and peace would return to the nation if the Nigerian Navy or other security services had brave, talented individuals like Mubarak. Because the country’s security system is weak, robberies, kidnappings, and murders have grown commonplace, frightening Nigerians because they never know who might become the next victim.
