Mbappé tagged ‘suspect’ in Swedish rape investigation
Kylian Mbappé is implicated in a Swedish rape investigation following an alleged incident in Stockholm. His legal team maintains his innocence, defending him amid growing media attention.
Kylian Mbappé, the French football star currently playing for Real Madrid, has found himself at the center of a Swedish rape investigation, according to reports from RMC Sport. The incident allegedly took place at a Stockholm hotel on October 10th, while the 25-year-old was on a brief holiday.
That evening, Mbappé reportedly dined at a local restaurant and later visited a nightclub. Although Swedish authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway, Mbappé was not initially named as a suspect. However, a report from Swedish news outlet Expressen directly implicated the French international, triggering a media frenzy.
In response, Mbappé's lawyer, Canu Bernard, spoke out on French television, firmly defending his client, stating that Mbappé "has done nothing wrong." While the footballer and his team remain calm, they acknowledge the potential for the investigation to be drawn out and the possible harm it could inflict on his reputation.
Despite the legal cloud looming over him, Mbappé maintains his innocence, as his legal team prepares to navigate what could be a lengthy process.
