"Mark Angel paid Emmanuella and I peanuts while earning $160k monthly" – Denilson Igwe alleges

Renowned comedian and skit creator Denilson Igwe has opened up about his disagreement with his former partner, Mark Angel. Igwe hinted in a teaser for the next edition of the podcast "The Honest Bunch" that he broke up with Mark after discovering that he was lying to both of them and the other crew members. He stated that he was the one who launched Mark Angel Comedy and was responsible for filming the material that Mark posted on Facebook in the beginning. However, he did not know when the Facebook page began to generate revenue.

He continued by saying that Mark didn't give him any money from the monetization earnings until 2016, at which point he handed him N50,000 in exchange for his purchasing a car.

Igwe also claimed that Mark was giving Emmanuella, one of the crew's top performers, N20,000 a month, and that's why they were unaware that they were earning $160,000 a month from Mark Angel Comedy's Facebook sales. "I was the one who started Mark Angel Comedy," he declared. I am an orphan. The eldest brother in the household was Mark. He worked as a security guard at Port Harcourt's Kilimanjaro, GRA.

"I stole one of the cameras while I was learning how to operate a camera from a man named Ifeanyi. So we're going to make comedic videos in our spare time. Mark then recommended that we make a Facebook profile where we could share our comedy films. I agreed to this without even realizing it would eventually be profitable. I simply kept recording. Then, out of nowhere, Mark purchased an automobile in 2014. When I questioned him about how he could afford it, he told a falsehood about receiving the car as a gift, which I believed. Since then, I have not gotten a single penny from Mark Angel Comedy."

"He began giving Emmanuella a monthly payment of N20,000. Due to their financial situation, her parents were oblivious to the importance of what their daughter was accomplishing. Nobody was aware of the money it was making. He paid me N50,000 for the first time in 2016 and informed me that the comedy wasn't making any money. At that time, we were earning $160,000 a month from Mark Angel Comedy's Facebook sales."
