Man supplying food to bandits arrested in Ekiti
A man named Musa Abdulai has been arrested in Ekiti State for allegedly supplying food to bandits. In Ekiti State, law enforcement has apprehended a man named Musa Abdulai, believed to be connected with bandit activities by supplying food to their hideouts. The 35-year-old, originally from Sokoto State and residing in Akure, was arrested on October 7, 2024, during a routine patrol by the Amotekun Corps in the Oritan Forest Reserve in Ise Ekiti.
According to Officer Adeleye Abiodun from the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Abdulai admitted to providing food supplies to individuals he suspected were Fulani/Bororo bandits operating in the region. Authorities recovered a sack containing food items during his arrest, which has raised concerns about the ongoing banditry issues in the area. Abdulai has been transferred to the Divisional Police Station in Ise Ekiti for further investigation into his activities and connections.
This arrest highlights the continued efforts of local security agencies to combat banditry and enhance public safety in Ekiti State.
