The South African music industry is in mourning following the untimely death of renowned artist, Malome Vector. Born in Lesotho, Malome Vector rose to prominence with his unique blend of hip-hop, delivering hit songs like "Dumelang," "Dikeledi," "Lerato," and "Lerumo," which gave him a breakthrough in the competitive SA hip-hop industry.

The music industry is grappling with the loss of such a talented and influential artist who had so much potential. News of the Lesotho-born hitmaker’s passing began to circulate after the Lesotho Times, a local publication, announced the rapper’s death on their Facebook page.

"Malome Vector, real name Bokang Moleli, lost his life in a car accident on N1 Road in Free State, South Africa, earlier today. Malome Vector was in the company of his other two crew members, Lizwi Wokuqala and one Damos, who also died on the spot. Another artist, Puleng Phoofolo, and the driver are said to be in a critical condition in hospital.

According to the SAPS report, the five were travelling in a Datsun Go heading south on the N1 when a tyre burst, causing the vehicle to lose control. It then collided with the rear wheels of a truck. The truck driver did not sustain any injuries," reported the Lesotho Times.

Malome Vector's passing is a significant loss to the South African music scene, and his legacy will continue through his impactful music.
