Former One Direction member Liam Payne has tragically passed away at the age of 31 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, according to local police. The incident took place at a hotel on Costa Rica Street in the Palermo neighborhood, as confirmed in a statement provided to CNN. 

Payne rose to fame as part of the British boyband One Direction, which also included Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan. The group formed in 2010 after competing on the UK edition of The X Factor. More information is yet to be released about this story.
