Latest updates on the 2024 Olympics

2024 Paris Olympics officially kicked off yesterday with a unique but rain soaked opening ceremony at River Seine and a total of thirteen gold medals will be handed today. 

Attention will be focused on medals  with gold up for grabs across diverse sporting events that includes; four in swimming, two each in cycling, fencing and judo and one each in shooting, rugby sevens and diving.

China won the first gold medal of the 2024 Olympic games with Sheng Lihao and Huang Yuting both claiming victory in the 10-meter air rifle mixed team event held early on Saturday morning.
