Video: Lagos State Demolishes a shrine by the Road
In an attempt to maintain environmental order and sanitation, the Lagos State Government has taken action against the construction of an unapproved shrine next to a major road.
The Lagos State government has taken action against the construction of an unauthorized shrine next to a prominent road in the Iyana Ipaja neighborhood in an effort to preserve environmental order and sanitation.
The Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency and the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps were involved in the shrine's destruction, according to Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources.
The shrine near a main road at Moshalasi Bus Stop, Ile Epo in Iyana Ipaja was removed earlier today by the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps @LAGESCOfficial, following multiple stop-work orders and physical attacks against staff members of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency @LASPARKLagos.
The Lagos State government issued a stern warning to the public to desist from constituting any form of environmental nuisance on state parks and gardens, as this will be met with prosecution.
