It's a game we all know - Aliko Dangote

Members of the House of Representatives visited the Dangote refinery, and Dangote denied the accusations made by the nation's midstream and downstream regulator. He scowled at the label of monopolist as well.

The business magnate implied that his company's board had chosen to halt plans to build a new steel facility in Nigeria in order to quell additional criticism, considering the claims to be extremely disheartening.

Many stakeholders have backed Dangote in the wake of the controversy, calling on the federal government to assist industrialists in the same way that other nations do.

Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola weighed in on the issue on Tuesday, advising the federal government to back regional investors and forward-thinking industry figures like Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa.

Dangote "has broken every boundary in worldwide business and industry," according to Otedola, who called him the nation's "titan that God created especially for mankind."

"We have our own titans in Nigeria, and we must acknowledge and assist them," he declared. His accomplishments serve as both a monument to his genius and a shining example of what can be accomplished when opportunity and vision come together. It is imperative that we support local heroes like Dangote in order to advance our country's growth and economic independence. Let's keep encouraging and supporting these trailblazers who propel our country's.

Nations that are just beginning to industrialize need leaders with vision. This is why it should come as no surprise that a small group of extraordinary people—Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J.P. Morgan, and Henry Ford—were responsible for creating the industrial environment of the United States via their vision and perseverance. Despite leaving the world without these possessions, these individuals left a legacy that has sustained their nation's prosperity for generations to come, according to Otedola.
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, emphasized the refinery's significance to Nigeria's economic stability while also endorsing Dangote Refinery. In a post on his X platform, Obi pleaded with the federal government to provide the Dangote refinery the support it needs to operate and not  to vilify it, stressing its importance to Nigeria’s economic stability.
