Imo Police have dismantled an alleged IPOB/ESN camp in Oru West, arresting 29 suspects and seizing weapons in an anti-terrorism operation to ensure public safety.
The Imo Police Command has dismantled a suspected camp run by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militant wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Oru West Local Government Area. Acting on intelligence from a detained suspect, police arrested 29 individuals and seized various weapons, including pump-action guns and pistols.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb terrorism in the state. The police urged citizens to stay vigilant amid safety concerns tied to a sit-at-home order circulating in the region.
