If anything happens to me, Hold Davido - Dammy Crane cries out
Nigerian singer Dammy Krane accuses Davido of orchestrating his arrest for defamation and alleges false charges related to crypto scams.
Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has leveled serious accusations against fellow artist Davido, claiming that the superstar orchestrated his arrest on defamation charges.
In a series of posts on his X handle, Dammy Krane alleged that he was wrongfully detained by the police under Davido's orders. He also claimed that there were attempts to falsely implicate him in crypto scams, urging the public to hold Davido accountable if anything happens to him.
"If anything happens to me, @davido should be held responsible. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me," Dammy Krane wrote, further accusing Davido's camp of fabricating a petition that links him to Flutterwave and crypto scams.
The tension between the two artists dates back to 2023 when Dammy Krane publicly called out Davido over an alleged unpaid debt. In response, Davido labeled Dammy Krane as ungrateful. The feud has since escalated, with Dammy Krane continuing to drag Davido online, even accusing him of involvement in the 2017 death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike, who reportedly died from alcohol poisoning after a birthday party in Lekki, Lagos.
Veteran fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, known as KWAM 1 De Ultimate, has weighed in on the ongoing feud, urging both artists to make peace during a live performance.
