"I want to leave" - Osimhen tells Napoli
Cristiano Manna, Napoli's sports director, has revealed that star striker Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the squad amidst the ongoing transfer saga surrounding the Nigerian forward.
In the midst of the continuing transfer drama surrounding the Nigerian forward, Napoli's sports director, Cristiano Manna, has stated that star striker Victor Osimhen has requested to leave the team.
Intense conjecture has surrounded Osimhen, the 25-year-old African Footballer of the Year, in recent weeks. Even though Osimhen signed a contract extension with Napoli that included a huge £110 million release clause, it is said that he has made it plain that he wants to leave the Serie A powerhouse.
There had been rumors of a possible transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, but the deal never materialized because the French champions are not now looking for a new striker.
Osimhen stays with Napoli, his future unknown, with no sign of improvement and the transfer window closing. Victor Osimhen has made a request to quit the club. Manna stated, "He wants to go," as per a post by Fabrizio Romano. "The circumstances are obvious; there were opportunities for his departure last summer." Victor desires to go.
The Napoli director said, "We will see in the next 20 days," giving rise to the possibility that Osimhen's future will be decided in the upcoming days or weeks.
