In a candid interview on The Cruz Show on Real 92.3 FM, Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, shared a glimpse into her early music influences. The Oscar-nominated singer revealed that, growing up, she used to “pretend” to be a rapper and found inspiration in none other than Lil Wayne. 

"Hip-hop has always been close to my heart," Tems admitted. "I would actually pretend to be Lil Wayne. He was my idol back then." The singer expressed her excitement about the possibility of finally meeting the legendary rapper. “I haven’t met Wayne yet, but I’m looking forward to it. I know it’s going to happen soon.”
