I don’t take VeryDarkMan’s supporters seriously – Vee
BBNaija's Vee criticizes supporters of President Tinubu and activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), sparking controversy over her sharp remarks on Nigerian politics.
Big Brother Naija star Victoria Iye, popularly known as Vee, has stirred controversy by openly criticizing supporters of President Bola Tinubu's administration and self-proclaimed activist VeryDarkMan (VDM). In a candid TikTok video, Vee questioned the mental state of individuals who back the current Nigerian government and those defending VDM, whom she dismisses as unqualified to represent the fight for Nigerian rights.
Vee stated, "I’m judging anybody that supports this current Nigerian government. I’m also judging supporters of VDM. It’s high time we start holding certain people accountable. If you defend the wrong thing, I’m cutting you off."
She expressed skepticism about self-declared freedom fighters, particularly VDM, saying she sees no value in individuals claiming to champion Nigerian rights on their own. "It should be a joint effort. And I definitely don’t think it should be VDM doing it," she added, questioning VDM’s achievements and motives.
Vee also briefly touched on the ongoing dispute between Falz, VDM, and human rights lawyer Femi Falana. After being accused of facilitating a "soft landing" for cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, Falana and his son Falz issued a 24-hour ultimatum to VDM to retract his statements. VDM, however, denied the accusations, and Falana's daughter, entertainment lawyer Folakemi Falana, threatened legal action.
Vee distanced herself from the Falz vs. VDM feud, stating, "I don’t have much to say about the Falz versus VDM issue... Lovely, they say he’s going to court." However, she made her stance clear, saying, "Anybody defending this government needs mental evaluation. Anybody defending VDM? We don’t even know what his achievements are."
Her sharp commentary has sparked reactions across social media, with some applauding her boldness while others question her position on freedom fighters in Nigeria. As the Falz and VDM saga continues to unfold, Vee’s strong statements add yet another layer to the already heated debate.
