How my father went from a bike man to house owner – Ola of Lagos
Ola of Lagos shares how he transformed his father’s life, from a bike rider to a proud homeowner and Mecca pilgrim, inspiring millions with his story.
Popular social media influencer Waris Olayinka Akinwande, better known as Ola of Lagos, has moved fans with an emotional story about transforming his father’s life beyond his wildest dreams.
Taking to Instagram, Ola shared how his father, Mr. Akinwande, experienced his first flight—an international journey to Mecca for the Hajj pilgrimage. This remarkable milestone came after years of hard work and sacrifice as a bike rider providing for his family.
“My father had never even been near an airport, let alone flown on a plane,” Ola wrote. “His very first flight wasn’t just international but to a destination he had prayed to visit all his life.”
Alongside heartfelt photos of himself and his father in Muslim prayer attire during Hajj, Ola revealed how he also supported his father in purchasing his first home, a feat the elder Akinwande never imagined possible.
From struggling to ensure his family had daily meals, Mr. Akinwande now owns his own car and runs multiple businesses—achievements Ola proudly described as a testament to resilience and faith.
“He never thought he’d own a single block, but today he owns a house,” Ola shared. “My dad’s journey is my biggest inspiration. May we all prioritize our parents and bring them joy, Insha Allah.”
Ola’s touching story serves as a reminder of the power of perseverance, gratitude, and the importance of giving back to those who made sacrifices for us.
