According to an exclusive police source on Thursday, one of Aribemchukwu’s domestic staff has admitted to being complicit in her boss’s murder. Aribemchukwu is the deceased daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia. According to Metro, the victim, also known as Chuchu, was murdered in her home in Lagos State’s Ikoyi neighborhood’s Parkview Estate. Her lifeless body was found outside her home’s gate on Wednesday morning, despite a family source claiming she was murdered Tuesday night. However, in connection with the murder, her three domestic workers—a driver, a security guard, and the housekeeper—were taken into custody.
A police source who wished to remain anonymous because he was not authorized to speak on the subject gave an update on the results thus far, stating that the housekeeper admitted to the crime while being questioned. The dead was killed in her room, the insider added, and her body was then hauled from the location outside the gate where it had been discarded. The source claims that because the crime was committed at night, the suspects tried to remove the blood marks but failed to do so in some areas.
The deceased was killed in her room and her body was dragged to the front of the gate to make it look like she was killed on the spot. After that, all the blood stains were carefully cleaned but still, they missed some spots. They did not clean it well because it happened at night.”“The house help did not deny what happened. She said, ‘We do am, na we do am’, during an interrogation and everything she said tallied with the evidence on the ground.” the police source disclosed.
After killing their boss, the suspects allegedly packed up all of the deceased’s assets right away. Additionally, the source attested to the fact that the three domestic workers were working simultaneously one week before to the occurrence. The late Aribemchukwu had just been married and worked as a doctor until her death. Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, responded that investigations were still in progress when reached. “The incident is still being investigated,” he stated. As soon as there are any new developments, we will give you updates.
