Barbadian singer and entrepreneur, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has taken a dive into Nigerian culture by learning to speak a few words in Yoruba, one of the country's native languages.
In a video shared by UK-based makeup artist, Damilola Adejonwo, popularly known as Senorfenty, Rihanna is seen enthusiastically repeating the phrase "Mo wa pa," which translates to "I’m fine." The moment took place at a Fenty event, where Senorfenty playfully introduced the music icon to Yoruba.
He humorously captioned the video: “Mo wa pa oooooo!!!!! I told Rihanna I’m Nigerian, and she has to learn Yoruba. So I taught her 'mo wa pa,' and she wouldn’t stop saying it the whole time. That might be the next single ???????????????? she’s such a vibe.” Fans were thrilled to see the global superstar embracing Nigerian culture, with some even joking that this could hint at a new musical era for Rihanna.
